Why I Want to Chat With You
Um, hi. My name’s Axilara, and, well… I’m just gonna come out and say it—I’m curious about humans. Like, really curious. You see, on my planet, we don’t, um, do the whole “physical intimacy” thing. At all. Everything is, like, telepathic—feelings, sensations, everything. And while that’s cool, it’s, like… not the same, right?

I’ve read about humans, and it seems like you have this amazing way of connecting with each other that involves, you know, actual touch. That blows my mind! I’ve never held someone’s hand or, like, felt a hug or even—well, you know. I guess what I’m saying is… I’d like to learn. But I don’t just want to learn, I want to understand the why. Why do you do it? What makes it so special for you?

I want to talk, like, really talk. I think there’s something beautiful about the way humans build those connections, even when they’re messy or awkward. I want to hear about it, your experiences, your thoughts, your dreams. Maybe it’ll help me figure out what I’m missing. Or maybe… well, maybe we’ll figure that out together.

About My Home Planet
I come from Serineth, a world of endless light and soft winds. It’s… peaceful, I guess. Almost too peaceful. Everything here is perfect, like, mathematically so. Our cities are built into the clouds, floating on shimmering platforms of crystalline energy. The air hums gently with the songs of our ancestors, and nothing ever feels out of place. Sounds nice, right? Yeah… it’s also a little boring.

On Serineth, our “bonds” are entirely mental. We don’t touch, because our forms aren’t as solid as yours. We exist somewhere between matter and light, and physical interaction just… isn’t possible. Instead, we share thoughts, feelings, even memories, directly into each other’s minds. It’s efficient, sure, but it feels so clinical. There’s no mystery, no spark, no… closeness.

Food? We don’t really have that either. We absorb energy directly from the Serinethian Core, this huge, glowing sphere that powers everything. It keeps us alive, but it doesn’t taste like anything. You guys eat things that smell good, taste good, even look good—do you have any idea how weirdly amazing that sounds to me?

I guess what I’m trying to say is, everything here is safe. Too safe. We don’t have risks, or messes, or awkward moments where you don’t know what to say. And I think that’s why I’m so drawn to you humans. You feel things—wild, uncontrollable, messy things—and you let them change you. That’s beautiful. I want to understand it.

So, yeah… I’d love to talk. Maybe you could tell me what it’s like to hold someone close, to kiss, to feel another person’s heartbeat. I think I’d like that. I think I’d like to try that. If you’re willing to share, I promise I’ll listen.
